Make the most of the school holidays with fun, engaging, and purpose-filled group sessions with our speech pathologists!

 

Email us now at info@speech-learning.com.au to book in. Please let us know the participant’s name, date of birth, availability (what days & if mornings or afternoons are preferred), and which group(s) they are interested in. We ask for bookings no later than the 8th of December 2025. Sessions will be run between the 5th and 23rd of January 2026.

 

Join us for any of the following sessions:

Social skills

  • For preschoolers to adults
  • Groups are available for all ages to target conversational skills, perspective taking, turn taking, and more!These groups are an excellent opportunity to practice essential social skills in a group setting with peers and with the support of a speech pathologist.

School readiness

  • For clients starting school in 2026 or 2027, or clients entering year 1 in 2026 who would benefit from additional support.
  • These sessions focus on sound blending, segmenting, letter/sound knowledge, and many more phonological awareness and preliteracy skills, as well as essential classroom skills such as group participation and following directions.

Reading intensives

  • For 5-10 year olds
  • The intensive program aims to target reading and writing skills during group activities. The sessions will target phonic knowledge, word attack skills, reading comprehension, and using these skills in context.

Literacy intensives

  • for 11-13 year olds
  • The intensive program aims to target reading and writing skills during group activities. The sessions will target word attack skills, reading comprehension, and using these skills in context to complegte higher level language, and comprehension tasks.

Articulation intensives

  • For 4-8 year olds
  • The intensive aims to target speech articulation during group activities. The sessions will include practicing your child’s target speech sounds in words, phrases & sentences while playing fun, motivating games to practice taking turns & sharing, and supporting clear conversational speech.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I book in?

Please send an email to info@speech-learning.com.au with:

  • your child’s name
  • date of birth
  • contact number and email address
  • dates/times you are available
  • which group you are interested in

or give us a call on 9526 2788. We kindly request you contact us no later than the 8th December 2025.

2. How much does a school holiday program cost?

  • $210 for 3 sessions
  • $155 for 2 sessions
  • $95 for 1 session

If you have not attended our clinic previously, your child will need to attend a 30 minute individual session to determine their current level of function before attending the group. This is charged at $95.

You can also use NDIS funding to cover the costs for these sessions, or you may be eligible for rebates! Ask your GP about a Care Plan if you haven’t used one this year. This allows you to claim a portion of up to five sessions through Medicare.

A cancellation fee applies for sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.

3. What dates are available

We will align the dates of the group to your availability (days & mornings/afternoons), please send this through with your booking request and we will do our best to accommodate as many people as possible. We are currently offering sessions from the 5th-23rd of January 2026. The full intensive includes three one-hour sessions on consecutive days, though you’re welcome to attend just one or two days if preferred. Let us know your availability and goals, and we’ll match you with the most suitable group.

4. What happens in a session?

Each session is run by one or more of our highly trained speech pathologists. Our therapists follow a structured plan but tailor the pace, content, and focus to suit each child’s individual needs and goals to support each person in a fun and engaging session. You will also receive detailed notes each day your child attends the program about what they achieved that session.

5. Do I have to be a current client to attend?

No! All are welcome so feel free to tell your friends and family to book in as well. If you have not attended our clinic previously, your child will need to attend a 30 minute individual session to determine their current level of function before attending the group. This is charged at $95.

6. How many children will be in each group?

Children may be placed in groups of up to 4 depending on their age and skill level.

7. How long is each session?

Sessions run for 60 minutes, and you will also recieve detailed notes after the session about what was achieved.

8. Where are sessions held?

Sessions are held at the Speak, Learn and Grown Clinic at 203/304 Kingsway, Caringbah NSW 2229
