At Speak, Learn & Grow we do our best to give back to our community and to help those in need. One of the key ways we are able to do this, is as a member of the BUY1GIVE1 community.
B1G1 Business for Good is a non-profit organization that helps link businesses with global charitable projects with the aim of integrating giving into everyday business activities. This means that we nominate an aspect of our business each month, such as holiday programs, reports, assessments, or sessions, and for each service we provide to a client, a portion of the fee goes towards helping those in need.
We are dedicated to integrating giving into our business, driving positive social impact, and creating a more equitable world through our daily operations:
When an assessment or progress report is written, we give 5 nourishing meals to children in need.
So far we have given 383 meals to children in need.
When an assessment is booked in, we provide 5 days of education in the world.
So far we have provided 658 days of education.
When a client books in a school holiday program, we give 4 educational resources to seriously ill children.
So far we have given 124 educational support tools to children in need.
When a session is completed on Women’s Day, we give 1 day of financial and business training to women.
So far we have given 23 days of financial and business training to women.
When a session is completed on Valentine’s Day, we give 7 days of support to prevent a family from separation.
So far we have given 105 days of support to prevent a family from separation.
When a team member has a birthday, we help bring trafficked girls back home.
So far we have given 118 days of human rights support.
In the holiday season, we support disadvantaged children by providing access to education, providing shoes and uniforms, improving sanitation and access to water, preventing childhood blindness and providing resources to visually impaired children, building classrooms, and providing medicine and healthcare for medical and mental health support.
So far we have had 212 impacts to give children hope.
